Characteristics of rotary drum granulator

Rotary drum granulator structure

--Granulator bracket.

The whole rotating part which bears large force is supported by bracket, therefore it adopts medium carbon steel plates,channel beam material which are welded and satisfies strict quality standard.
--Drive part. 

The gear frame is welded of high quality channel beam. The main motor in gear frame and reduction gears are both ISO National Free-inspection Product. Motor drives belt sheave,trianguler belt and reduction gears and offers power to granulator. 
--Large gears. 

Fixed on granulator and meshes with small transmission gears to drive the whole machine working in the opposite direction. High-tech wear-resisting materials extends granulator service life.
--Rolling belt. 

Fasten on both sides of granulator for supporting.

Granulating mechanism of rotary drum granulator
The raw materials for granulating are steam, gaseous ammonia, phosphoric acid or ammuniacal solution, ammonium phosphate slurry and triple superphosphate slurry. After these solid fertilizer powders enter the rotary drum, they will make reciprocating motion under the action of gravity, centrifugal force and friction force between fertilizers. With the rotary motion of drum, the generated materials spray onto the surface of granulation nucleus. The coating layer become thicker and thicker, and gradually the generated materials are granulated into desired sizes and discharged from the discharging hole.
